It was a Merry Christmas!

"Repent ye, repent ye! Jesus will be born in 5 years." Samuel exclaims to all as Spencer and Ali try to hit him with their arrows, but to no avail. The picture above is our attempt at Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. We had a merry Christmas and hope you all did too.
Happy New Year
We hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you are all having a nice holiday week. We had a very relaxing Christmas day. The kids had fun opening their gifts and arranging them carefully in their rooms. Riley and I were just happy to have an emergency room-free day. We are enjoying one week off before going back to school and work. We wish everyone a happy new year!

Riley's new job
Riley has accepted an offer to work for his old firm, sort of in a kind of round about way. His old boss recently merged his firm with a larger firm in Salt Lake and contacted Riley expressing how much he wanted him to come back to work. After much contemplation, prayer, and see-sawing back and forth he decided to take the new offer. Riley starts his new job on Jan 2, 2007. He is excited about the new opportunities that will be coming his way!

Cheese Ball Idol

Oooooh, you guys are in for a real treat. And now is your chance to have a say for this Friday's (?) Wells Family Christmas party. Take advantage of this opportunity to vote for a cheese ball. We have accepted as our contribution the pleasure of providing the fam with two cheese balls to your liking. I've been doing some research and all are relatively popular and have at least a four star rating. And the prospective cheese balls are as follows, and in no particular or preferential order:
Fantastic Gorgonzola Cheese Ball- Of course, the key ingredient may well be the finest of italian cheeses. Really can't go wrong in my own opinion.
Spinach Cheese Ball- Sounds like an interesting variation on the popular spinach dip.
Curry Cheese Ball- The cheese ball of the Maharrajah, no doubt. Curry and mango chutney seem to make this one work.
Yummy Cheese Ball- Main ingredient is bacon, a lot of it. In fact, the cheese to bacon ratio appears to be a little bit skewed and may compromise this ball's spreadability.
The Best Cheeseball- Don't be swayed by its monicker. Out of 19 votes, comes in at an imperfect four and half stars out of five. So, clearly not the best, but definitely not bad. Pepperjack cheese and cilantro make this a spicy little treat.
Go to and cast your votes. I'm anticipating quite a turn out on this one, so don't let me down, Wellses. Riley and Lisa, feel free to offer your opinions as well. Rules are two votes per commentor and I reserve the right to override any popular vote.
It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Can you believe it, we got snow. Ali's eyes were so big as she ran into our bedroom this morning to exclaim, "There's snow outside!" Spencer and Ali wasted no time in making a snowman -isn't it beautiful? As Ali came inside to warm up, she proclaimed, "It's really cold for Las Vegas!" Spencer said, "This is the best day of my life!" We're having lots of fun down here, hope you are too.
Love the Salters.

Adison's Birthday
December 10th is Adison's birthday. Sarah too, Happy birthday Sarah!
For Adison's birthday he was surprised with a trip to Denver to tour Mile High Stadium. He was so excited. For a boy who lives and breathes football this was the ultimate birthday present. Riley and Tyler went with him and boy, it was sure a fun surprise!

Let's Party

How about the Wells family Christmas party Saturday Dec. 23 in the morning for some yummy ebilskeebers (sp?) at Mom and Dad's. Friday night we'll be playing games if anyone is game. Also, Samuel just got shots -he's not feeling very good, but he's passed the 15 lb. mark. He's a whopping 15 lbs. 1 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. I can't believe it. Spencer's up to 60 lbs -barely and Ali's just past 40 -that's as far as we're gonna go. Talk to you guys later.
